Home>Bedtime Stories at the Show Grounds – a huge hit
| Approximately 100 people attended a highly successful open-air Movie Night at the Tallangatta Show Grounds on the 6th of February 2009. Families and friends brought their deck chairs, picnic blankets and hampers for a night of good old fashioned family fun.
“This year’s movie was Bedtime Stories and it provided a good laugh for everyone. The Youth Council was absolutely thrilled with the attendance and continued community support for this event.” said Renee Carkeek, Youth Services Officer.
The Western Towong Community Youth Council organise the open-air movie night as an opportunity to fundraise Youth Council activities events held through out the year.
“We sold plenty of Glow ropes and the Jelly Bean guessing comp was a hit too.” said Louise Birrell, Youth Council member
The winner of the Jelly Bean competition was the Quinn family.
The Western Towong Community Youth Council would like to thank the community for their support and extend gratitude to the Tallangatta Meat Processors for the loan of the Truck, the Towong Shire Outdoor staff for their assistance with the setting and packing up, and St Michael’s Parents club for providing the catering for the event.
