Draft Council Plan 2017-21

Towong Shire Council’s Draft 2017-21 Council Plan is on public exhibition after being adopted at the June Council meeting.

The Draft Council Plan outlines a four year program of activities and projects that will contribute towards the achievement of a sustainable and prosperous future for Towong Shire residents and ratepayers.

Towong Shire Council Mayor Cr David Wortmann said it was now over to the community to provide input and feedback on the draft plan.

”The Draft Council Plan sets out Council’s proposed direction and activities for the next four years,” he said. “This plan is built around the needs of our community. Almost 200 residents and ratepayers met with Council during a series of workshops held in February and March to help us set priorities for the future of the Shire.

“Others contributed to this plan by engaging directly with Council on matters that concern them most. Many more have been involved in other community planning projects that are linked with this Council Plan.

“We share the community’s aspirations for a healthy, vibrant and prosperous place to live, and appreciate the time and effort many have spent assisting us to develop this draft plan.”
