| Three-year old kinder pilot announced for Tallangatta - 19/7/2012 | Printer Friendly |
| A three-year old kindergarten program will be trialled by Towong Shire Council at the Tallangatta Kindergarten during the second half of 2012. Towong Shire Council Mayor, Cr Debi Gadd, explained that the initiative is in response to the community’s desire for increased children’s services in Tallangatta. “The recent closure of the Tallangatta Community Education Centre has meant that many families in the town lost access to the programs it had offered, including an occasional care service for three year olds,” said Cr Gadd. Council is working with the community to investigate options for the Community Education Centre, but in the meantime saw an opportunity to trial a three year old program integrated into its existing kindergarten services at Tallangatta. “Council is excited to offer this trial service for the remainder of 2012 in response to the concerns raised by young families in Tallangatta,” said Cr Gadd. Throughout the trial program, three year olds can attend the Tallangatta Kindergarten for three hours each week at a cost of $90 per term. To enquire about enrolling your child, contact Mrs Kylie Whitsed, Kindergarten Director, on Mondays or Thursdays at the Kindergarten or by phoning 02 6071 2282. | |
