Director of Infrastructure and Environment – Rachael Gadd
Rachael was appointed to the role of Director of Infrastructure and Environment in October 2019.
Her diverse team oversees the management and construction of roads, buildings and storm water to ensure public safety, and helps to deliver appropriate services for the community. Rachael is also responsible for project design and delivery, waste and environmental services, town maintenance and forestry services.
Rachael is an engineering professional with 11 years of experience in delivering strategic outcomes within the public and private sector. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from RMIT University and a Graduate Diploma of Education (P-12) from La Trobe University.
Rachael worked for Council previously in the position of Civil Asset Engineer. Her diverse professional background includes roles as a secondary teacher, a kindergarten and playgroup facilitator, a geological field assistant and a small business manager in the United Kingdom.
Rachael was raised in Towong Shire. Despite spending many years overseas, she feels very lucky to have returned to work in such as amazing part of the world.
