Update Regarding Burrowye Bridge replacement

Council is continuing the installation of temporary fords around Burrowye.

Works on the bridge near Lightfoot Creek Tk and Culvert 343 on Burrowye Road have been completed, with works on Bridge 25 on Burrowye Road currently underway. Works on Bridge 82 on Beers Lane are expected to commence shortly, followed by Cheshire Bridge on Guys Forest Road.

At this stage, all temporary crossings and associated emergency works are scheduled for completion by the end of May 2026 - weather dependent - with roads remaining closed (open to local traffic only).

Once these works are complete, Council will progress the design and permanent replacement of the affected structures.
