Playles Hill, Corryong
About the project
In the wake of 2019/20 bushfires, a group of passionate community members came together to develop the idea of a botanical park at Playles Hill, as a place for locals and visitors to reflect and reconnect.
The Playles Hill Working Group have been busy over the last year, workshopping ideas and commencing working bees to tidy up the site and begin landscaping.
Council staff have been working with the group to develop a masterplan for the site, which includes provision for:
- A walking tracks
- Informative signage
- Visitor facilities including a viewing platform/shade structure, park furniture, and redevelopment of the toilet block
If you’d like to be involved in the Playles Hill Project Group, contact the Corryong Neighbourhood Centre on (02) 6076 2176, or visit the community-run Playles Hill Project Facebook page.
