Towong Shire

Think Start Grow Program

Think-Start-Grow is an entrepreneurship program featuring workshops which are free and open to all Towong Shire residents and business owners.

Participants will have the opportunity to network with other budding entrepreneurs and small business owners, explore opportunities for their business using innovative digital technologies, access mentoring and coaching, and polish their pitch for funding or support.

Over a 12-month period, the project will deliberately focus on building the knowledge and awareness of entrepreneurship through a series of targeted workshops, networking forums, incubator events and mentoring support to people exploring start-up enterprises.

Towong Shire Council has partnered with leading entrepreneurship development hub, the Australian Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship (ACRE), to deliver the Think-Start-Grow program and has received financial assistance from LaunchVic.

As the third phase of Towong Shire Council’s Think-Start-Grow program, workshops will be held in Corryong and Tallangatta in March.

Speakers will cover a wide range of topics, including crowdfunding with the community, support and resources available for start-up businesses, successful sales for start-ups and local entrepreneurs sharing their experiences. There will also be a panel discussion of speakers on the day.

The details of the workshops are as follows:

Registration for the workshop is from 9.30am, with the workshop to be held from 10am to 3pm.
