Recycling - Get it Right on Bin Night

How well do you know your recyclables?

Towong Shire residents are good at recycling, but you’d be surprised how many recyclables get thrown in the rubbish bin and end up in landfill. For example, you don’t put recyclables in plastic bags – or they end up in landfill. Put them loose in your recycle bin if you want them to end up in the right place.

Most people think of the kitchen when recycling, but you can recycle from every room in the house – from your bathroom, your laundry, your lounge and your study. Recycle from every room.

Get to know your recyclables at www.recycling.vic.gov.au/ where you'll find loads of resources to teach you how you can do your bit for the environment.
