Camp Oven Cooking Bash - High Country Harvest

Join Maurie Foun at his Upper Murray Resting Place and Poet’s Paradise for a uniquely Australian experience of camping, campfire cooking, live music and bush poetry.

The weekend opens with a welcoming ‘Poet’s Breakfast’ and includes cooking demonstrations, local wine tastings, campfire jams and bonfires. Food platters will be available to purchase throughout the weekend.

This event will be staged at ‘The Resting Place – Poets Paradise’ eco-camping retreat. Hosted by acclaimed bush poet Maurie Foun, visitors may expect: Outstanding atmosphere, authentic open fire camp-oven cooking and tastings, local wine tastings and sales, live music and bush poetry presentations by awarded artists including walk-ups.
Saturday night live variety concert with special guest, multi award winning Indigenous singer-songwriter, Johnny Huckle. There will also be Friday and Saturday night bonfires and late camp-fire jam sessions. On-site campsites available. A highly memorable, fair-dinkum Aussie experience.
