Council recently completed the first round of post-bushfire fencing wire and sheet metal collection, removing approximately 260m³ of material from fire-affected properties to support community clean-up and recovery efforts.
A second collection is planned for November, when drier ground conditions will allow larger waste trucks to safely access more properties.
Fire-affected landowners are encouraged to register their interest with Towong Shire Council for future wire collection.
