Community walks support 16 Days of Activism
Two community walks will be held in Tallangatta and Corryong as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. These events invite residents to come together, start conversations, and show support for a future free from violence.
Tallangatta Walk – Tuesday 25 November, 9.30 am
Meeting point: Corner of Barree Street and Towong Street
Participants will follow a loop along the footpath, returning to the Tallangatta Library for a light morning tea and the opportunity to add a message to the pledge wall.
Corryong Walk – Monday 8 December, 10.00 am
Meeting point: Corner of Donaldson Street and Hanson Street (outside Top of Town Takeaway)
The walk will follow a loop and finish at the Corryong Memorial Hall, where light morning tea and a pledge wall activity will be available.
Community members are encouraged to wear orange to show their support. Orange ribbons and a small number of T-shirts will be available at each event.
