An extreme heatwave warning remains current for our community through until Thursday 29 January.
To help the community stay safe and cool during the current heatwave conditions, Council has continued the extended opening hours for the pools in Corryong and Tallangatta until. Pools will be open from 3.30pm to 8pm until for the remainder of this week.
With the support of hall committees, the following halls will be open today until 8pm and open tomorrow from 10am to 8pm*:
- Corryong Memorial Hall
- Cudgewa Hall- Eskdale Hall
- Granya Hall
- Talgarno Hall
- Thowgla Hall
- Walwa Recreation Reserve
Please note these venues are open as cool places for relief from the heat, they are not official emergency relief or recovery centres. The library in Tallangatta is also a place for community members to seek relief from the heat during the day.
