Annual Event Calendar
The Council collaborates with event organisers to ensure accurate details and compiles exciting community events throughout the Shire into an annual calendar which is distributed throughout our region.
This calendar highlights the best community events across the Shire and is available at Visitor Information Centres and on regional tourism websites.
Submit your event
Towong Shire Council is inviting event organisers to submit their events for consideration in the next Annual Events Calendar. Events taking place across the Mitta Valley, Lake Hume, and Upper Murray in next calendar year are eligible.
Being part of the calendar gives your event:
- Greater visibility – Reach locals and visitors actively planning trips and activities in the region.
- Promotion alongside major attractions – Your event will feature alongside the region’s best-known annual events, helping boost its profile.
- Support for tourism and community growth – Events that welcome visitors, including markets, music performances, shows, festivals, sporting events like golf tournaments, and competitions, help attract people to the region and contribute to the local economy.
