Earlier this week, new lighting was installed along the Hanson Street median strip, and footpath works have begun in areas currently protected by green covers. Concreting at the roundabouts at both ends of the street is scheduled to begin shortly, with minor traffic delays expected while these works are carried out.
VicRoads has proposed road resurfacing along Hanson Street for late June that will require single lane road closures. These works are not being managed or scheduled by Council, and the resurfacing dates are yet to be confirmed. Once underway, the resurfacing is expected to take around five days and may result in traffic delays or temporary detours.
Tree planting along the median strip and main street is expected to commence within the next fortnight, weather permitting. Short-term traffic controls may be in place while this work is completed.
The Corryong Streetscape Project is expected to be fully completed following the resurfacing works by VicRoads.
