Bellbridge Walking Trail
About the project
As part of the Our Bellbridge Masterplan we are sealing and extending the Bellbridge Walking Track.
Stage 1 of the project was completed in June 2023. In April 2024 we commenced works on the footpath starting at the park approximately 170 metres south-west of Mitta Avenue, Bellbridge and continuing to the Kurrajong Gap Boat Ramp (Victoria side Lake Hume Boat Ramp).
The project is currently expected to be completed in mid-2025.
Why is this project being undertaken?
The Bellbridge Our Town Place Plan identifies the need to enhance recreational and economic opportunities in the area. This project aligns with key economic development goals by:
- Boosting tourism: Enhancing the visitor experience along the Great River Road, making Bellbridge a more attractive stop for travellers.
- Encouraging community activation: Creating a welcoming space for residents to gather, relax, and enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Hume.
