The Draft Budget has been developed in the context of ongoing cost-of-living pressures, broader economic challenges, and the delivery of bushfire recovery initiatives following the 2026 summer bushfire event.
It outlines key projects for the year ahead:
- Approximately $10 million in repair works for roads, bridges and culverts in Burrowye and Guys Forest, supported by Disaster Recovery Funding Assistance
- Major capital works and asset renewal, including the Bethanga Sport Pavilion, road upgrades, and the next stages of the Hanson Street upgrade in Corryong
- Continued investment in community wellbeing programs, libraries, and early years services
Council has applied the rate cap set by the State Government of 2.75 per cent to our rates.
