Towong Shire Council, in partnership with the Towong Alliance, has developed the Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025–2029 to make health and wellbeing a central focus across the Shire. The Towong Alliance brings together Towong Shire Council, Corryong Health, Tallangatta Health Service, and Walwa Bush Nursing Centre, working alongside community members and stakeholders to deliver a coordinated, municipality-wide approach to health and wellbeing.
The plan outlines clear actions aimed at improving population health and wellbeing, to be implemented in collaboration with the Towong Alliance and other key partners. It forms part of the broader public health strategy supporting the Ovens Murray Catchment and aligns with Victorian state-level initiatives.
The Towong Shire Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025–2029 guides a unified approach to building a healthier, more resilient, and connected community across the Shire.
