Mount Elliot is located 7km east of Corryong and has been identified as a suitable location for numerous recreational sports and activities. The Masterplan provides a well-considered and costed pathway for the development of an accessible, high-quality, and sustainable adventure destination product, that leverages on the natural setting to provide both a community asset and tourism drawcard.
Upon fruition, the Mount Elliot Adventure Park will deliver positive social and economic outcomes for the Upper Murray communities. Following the proposed adoption of the plan, Council will consider the development for future infrastructure funding opportunities.
The Mount Elliot Adventure Park Masterplan was informed by considerable stakeholder engagement and research. The project has proven a priority of, and of value to, the Upper Murray community.
All feedback was considered before the plan was finalised and formally adopted at the 27 November 2024 Ordinary Council meeting.
